# Keep agents moving while you run the business

A small product team often means one person moving between implementation, customer feedback and product decisions. Perch keeps the state of your local coding sessions visible while you do the work around the code.

## Notice the decision, then make it deliberately

An agent waiting for permission and an agent still working need different responses from you. Perch’s screen-edge tab helps you tell them apart. Open the shelf when something needs attention and read the request before deciding.

You might ask Claude Code to update onboarding, then move to a customer email. If Claude needs a choice about the flow, you can review its numbered question in Perch when answering is enabled. You still make the product decision.

## Build a handoff you can evaluate

1. Give the agent one small change with a clear outcome.
2. Write your acceptance criteria in a working document or local note.
3. Respond to questions and approvals after checking their scope.
4. Review the finished work in the project before shipping.

## A companion for your Mac

Perch does not host agents or supply a shared company dashboard. It works alongside sessions on your Mac. Your agent subscriptions and usage are separate.

Actions vary by provider. Cursor supports activity and replies after a turn, rather than in-card tool approvals. Codex supports approvals and replies, while Claude Code also supports questions and plans. Use the compatibility guide to check your workflow.

## Common questions

### Can I use Perch from my phone?

Perch does not provide phone or remote access. It works on your Mac.

### Does Perch approve requests automatically?

No. Answering is opt-in, and Perch sends only the answer you choose.
